The Fordland School Board held it’s latest monthly meeting on February 21st, 2019. During this meeting the Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Ford, presented the School Calendar for a Public Hearing and ultimate approval/disapproval. The hearing was held with no further input from the School Board or public participants and was approved unanimously for the upcoming 2019/20 School Year. The calendar has a differences unique to the school year. The first is that we will be attending 168 days instead of 174, with a slightly longer school day. The second, is two different parent teacher conference periods in the Fall, October 15th, and 17th, 2019, with all conference times being after school from 3:30 to 7:00 p.m., making a normal school attendance day. The spring will also hold 1 conference day on March 10th, 2020, with the same conference times. The third will be a full two weeks off for Christmas Break, December 20, 2019 through January 3, 2020.
The NEW Calendar was created by Dr. Ford with hours and hours of research, public and employee input and NEW guidance from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education(DESE). If you have any questions please contact your Childs Building Principal.
